Legal Document Preparation 

AmeriMutual  Services is a low-cost alternative to legal self-help services.  We specialize in professional legal document preparation for the person who does not want the expense of hiring an attorney for simple legal tasks and who knows they can do it themselves...with just a little help.

As a California Legal Document Assistant (LDA), we are professionals who are authorized under California law to prepare legal documents and provide self-help services at the specific direction of the consumer.  An LDA is not a lawyer.  By law, LDAs cannot give legal advice or represent individuals in court.  LDAs are required by law to be registered and bonded in the county in which they have their principal place of business.

Legal Document Assistants were once known as Independent Paralegals. However, as of January 1, 2000, with the passage of California State Senate Bill SB1418, only those Paralegals working directly for attorneys may now be referred to as Paralegals. Those formerly known as Independent Paralegals are now referred to as Legal Document Assistants.

Individual Tax Return Preparation

AmeriMutual Services has CTEC Registered Tax Preparers to assist you in the preparation of your tax return.  According to California law, anyone who prepares tax returns for a fee must register as a tax preparer with the California Tax Education Council (CTEC), unless otherwise exempted by law. 

Each CTEC Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) is required to complete annual tax education courses and purchase a bond to protect you against fraud.   

Notary Public

About our notary service:  A California mobile notary public service offering full Notary Public and Loan Document Signing services to individuals, mortgage lenders, brokers, title and escrow companies and attorneys. 

 We accept:

Member in good standing of the California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA),  

Member in good standing of the National Association of Legal Document Preparers (naldp),

Member in good standing of the National Notary Association (NNA),

Licensed by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC) as a

CTEC Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP).
